How many NBA teams are in the generator?

All 30 current NBA franchises, split 15 apiece between the Eastern and Western Conferences across six divisions of five teams.

Can I pick a random team from one conference only?

Yes. Set Conference to Eastern or Western to spin from those 15 teams, or pick a single division such as Atlantic or Pacific for a five-team pool.

Can I get two random teams for a matchup?

Turn on No repeats and spin twice — the second spin can't return the first team, so you always get a genuine head-to-head pairing.

Can I use this as an NBA 2K team generator?

Yes. NBA 2K uses the same 30 franchises, so a draw here works for a MyGM, MyLeague or MyNBA save. There's no separate 2K page because the roster would be identical — the conference and division filters are the useful part if your challenge is scoped to one group.

Does it include all-time or historical teams?

No, the pool is the 30 current franchises. Relocated and renamed teams appear under their present-day name, so for example you'll see Brooklyn Nets rather than New Jersey Nets.
